Lakshmi Hebbalkar Takes Part in Kumbhotsava and Aarti Puja at Badal Ankalagi

Belagavi: Former Minister and MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar participated in the Kumbhotsava and Aarti Puja organised at Badal Ankalagi village in Belagavi district as part of the religious programmes associated with the annual Rathotsava of Sri Sadguru Sadananda Maharaj.

The special religious programme was organised in connection with the worship of the axle and wheels of the chariot of Sri Sadguru Sadananda Maharaj, who is regarded as the presiding deity and a centre of faith for devotees in the village.

A large number of women from the village participated in the Kumbhotsava, carrying traditional kalashas while singing devotional songs and accompanied by auspicious musical instruments. Special puja and aarti were later performed to the axle and wheels of the chariot.

Lakshmi Hebbalkar participated in the rituals and sought the blessings of Sri Sadguru Sadananda Maharaj. She prayed for happiness, peace, good health and prosperity for the people of the state and the district, and wished that farmers, workers and every family would lead a peaceful life.

She also prayed for the development of the village and the welfare of all sections of society.Speaking on the occasion, Hebbalkar said religious and cultural traditions play an important role in bringing people together, particularly in rural areas.“Such traditions help carry our heritage, culture and faith to the next generation. I appeal to villagers to participate in the various religious programmes being held as part of the Rathotsava with devotion and enthusiasm,” she said.

Hebbalkar expressed happiness after learning that all beneficiaries of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Badal Ankalagi village had voluntarily decided to contribute their one-month Gruha Lakshmi instalment towards the construction of the Sri Sadguru Sadananda Maharaj chariot.

She appreciated the women for demonstrating devotion, unity and social responsibility by voluntarily using the financial assistance received under a government welfare scheme for a religious and community initiative.“The objective of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme is to provide financial support to women. By voluntarily contributing the money towards such a noble cause, the women of Badal Ankalagi have further demonstrated the meaningful use of the scheme,” Hebbalkar said.

Sri Rachayya Ajjanavar, renowned spiritual discourse speaker Sri Prashant Devaru, village elders, leaders, party workers, a large number of women and devotees were present.The Kumbhotsava and Aarti Puja created a devotional atmosphere in the village, with residents participating enthusiastically in the religious proceedings.
