‘KJQ’ trailer: Deekshith Shetty’s gripping crime drama entertains
The makers of King Jackie Queen (#KJQ) have released the theatrical trailer of the much awaited period crime drama, which offers a glimpse of intense friendship and betrayal set in the 90s. Produced by ace producer Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, the film hits the theatres on August 7.

Starring Deekshith Shetty, debutante Shashi Odela and Yukti Thareja, King Jackie Queen is KK’s last film, which was close to his heart.
The trailer begins with KK’s voice over, which compares the three leads to Dawood Ibrahim, Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa and questions if the circumstances make them good or bad, which is a pointer to the story that explores destiny and ego. It is a gripping tale of two friends who are pitted against each other, with neither willing to back down, showcasing their intense friendship and their power-packed tussle that leaves the audience wanting more.
Deekshith Shetty’s stellar performance in the trailer gives a peep into the kind of star he is emerging as in the Tollywood industry. The star makes a strong impact in the film as he gets under the skin the role, which demands intensity in his performance.
Shashi Odela makes her debut in the lead role, which is no mean task, but she seems to rise up to the task. Yukti Thareja too leaves a lasting impression with her good looks. The film seems to combine both emotional quotient and action with a dollop of drama tossed in for good measure.Nagesh Banell’s excellent camerawork captures the 90s era accurately, while Poornachandra Tejaswi’s music sets the tone for the intense drama that the trailer promises. Moreover, the film seems to showcase all the value for money SLV productions that one has come to expect from the banners’ films.
