Karthi’s Sardar 2 Trailer Is Out

Kollywood’s ace actor Karthi is all set to entertain the audience with the Sardar 2 movie. As the release date is nearing, the makers unveiled the trailer yesterday and packed it with larger-than-life action sequences. This time, Karthi faces a new enemy, SJ Suryah and sets up a deadly face-off with him.

The 2 minutes and 58 seconds trailer rolls us back to Karthi aka Chandrabose’s past. The glimpses of his training period reminisce about Part One. Now, going with the story of the sequel, Chandrabose who is seen offering prayers to God in his home town, is picked up by his team for a mission. Although the mission is completed successfully, its aftermath continues to haunt him. And now, he is back to face the new enemy SJ Suryah.

The trailer opens with a voice over, “Before the idiot comes, the festival of Thaipusam will arrive” and the reply to it, “Uncle, he is about to come.” This dialogue serves as the introduction to Karthi’s character, Vijay Prakash. Since he is the only officer fluent in Japanese, the officers refer him for the new assignment to solve the case that involves lives of 30,000 people.

But the trailer makes us witness Karthi in dual roles as Chandrabose’s son is also part of the same field. Thus, he follows his father’s path and takes a toll in the enemies. SJ Suryah as antagonist Black Dagger once again stole the show and is expected to show off his mark on the big screens. Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath and Yogi Babu will essay prominent characters in this sequel.

On the other hand, Sardar 2 has glimpses of both a sequel and prequel which will make us witness Agent Sardar aka Chandra Bose’s past and his son Vijay Prakash’s present-day story.

This PS Mithran’s directorial is being bankrolled under the Prince Pictures and IVY Entertainment banners. This action thriller is all set to hit the big screens on 10th September, 2026.
