Just days before release, Pankaj Tripathi’s ‘Ohh My Dog’ faces unexpected delay
Mumbai: The Gangs of Wasseypur fame Pankaj Tripathi has amassed a huge fan following due to his unique acting skills and dialogue delivery. The actor’s fans are disappointed as his upcoming film ‘Ohh My Dog’ has been postponed. It was scheduled to release on July 31, 2026. The makers have made the announcement about the postponement on Monday morning.

The movie directed by Amit Rai will now release on 7th of August as per the production team. The makers of Ohh My Dog shared a statement about the delay in release. The press conference which was scheduled on Monday was also cancelled. The makers apologised to the fans and media who were expected to attend the press conference. The makers have not mentioned any specific reason for the postponement of the film. The film will now release in theatres on the same day as Aryabhatt Ka Zero, a comedy starring Himansh Kohli, Sonnalli Seygall, Ravi Kishan and Shilpa Shinde
The makers statement reads, “Film Ohh My Dog has shifted its release date to 7th of August. The press show today stands cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. We profusely apologise for the inconvenience and hope to see you for the press screening next week.”
The trailer of the movie was released earlier this month. The trailer showed an increasing number of missing cases of dogs and the huge racket behind it. Reports suggest that the film revolves around the bond between a young child and a dog.
The movie ‘Ohh My Dog’ is written and directed by Amit Rai. It is the story of a courageous dog helping to bust a racket. Apart from Pankaj Tripathi, it also stars Pawan Malhotra, Maahi Rai, Rajesh Kumar, Geeta Agrawal, Vijay Mishra, Shreedhar Dubey, Sulakhyana Baruah and Bulloo Kumar.
