Jr NTR Mourns For Sowcar Janaki’s Demise
Tollywood’s legendary actress Sowcar Janaki passed away around 2 PM today in Chennai. She breathed her last at the age of 94 after battling age-related health issues. Nadigar Sangam president Nassar confirmed the news through an official statement. As tributes continue to pour in from across the Telugu film fraternity, Tollywood’s ace actor Junior NTR too expressed his heartfelt condolences through social media.
His post reads, “The news of the passing of Shaukaru Janaki Garu, who left her unique mark in Telugu and Indian cinema, has caused immense sorrow. Janaki Garu’s cinematic journey and the characters she portrayed will forever remain in our memories. Praying for peace to her soul… My deepest condolences to the family members.”
Even Kollywood’s popular actress Radikaa Sarathkumar also mourned for Sowcar Janaki’s demise through Twitter.
Her post reads, “Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of #sowcarjanaki amma. A strong and independent,strong willed path breaker.Had the opportunity to know and work with her, a close friend of my dad #mrradha, they had great admiration for each http://other.RIP legend.”
Other actors like Vishnu Manchu also extended his deepest sympathy through social media.
Sowcar Janaki’s demise is definitely a big loss to Telugu film industry. She acted in 400 movies and 300+ stage shows. She left behind a remarkable journey and will always be remembered through her amazing screen presence.
