Jagamae Sangeetham Brings Susmita Konidela And Prakash Raj Together
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela forayed into the digital world with Jagamae Sangeetham. This Telugu series is inspired by the popular Hindi series Bandish Bandits. Surprisingly, the series features versatile actor Prakash Raj in the lead role despite his political misunderstandings with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena.

Coming to the story, it is set against the backdrop of a Carnatic music family and highlights the journey of Balu, the grandson of Shastri who spent his life devoted to Carnatic music. Balu finds himself claustrophobic in carrying forward his grandfather’s legacy but hopes to fulfil his artistic ambitions.
This series has an ensemble cast of Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Akshay, Madhubala, Sushmita Shetty, Suman, Sijju Menon, Shafi, Jhansi and Raghu Babu. Jagamae Sangeetham is being helmed by Palnati Surya Pratap and is being produced by Sushmita Konidela. This musical drama is written by Vangala Surya and features music composed by Vishal Chandrashekar.
Even Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of SVOD Originals, Prime Video India said opened up on how the series explores a strict grandfather’s world, “Jagamae Sangeetham is a deeply moving story that celebrates the emotional power of music while exploring universal themes of family, legacy, and self-discovery.”
Even producer Sushmita Konidela spoke to the media and said, From the outset, our vision for Jagamae Sangeetham was to tell a story where music is not merely part of the world but becomes the emotional language through which a family expresses what it cannot always put into words: love, conflict, longing, pride, hope, and ultimately healing. Bringing together such an exceptional cast and creative team has been an incredibly fulfilling journey, and we invite audiences across India and the world to step into the world of Jagamae Sangeetham and experience it for themselves on Prime Video.”
Being a Telugu dub series, it will stream on Amazon Prime Video from 4th September in 240 countries with English subtitles.
