Is Vijay Deverakonda Set to Play Lord Krishna in the Telugu Remake of Laalo

Earlier there were reports suggested that Mega Power Star Ram Charan Tej is being considered to play Lord Sri Krishna’s role in the Telugu remake of Gujarati blockbuster ‘Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate’.

But now the reports state that Tollywood’s Rowdy Star Vijay Deverakonda has been confirmed to play this role in the remake. We have already seen Vijay Deverakonda as Arjuna in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD movie. And as the sequel to this movie is also on the sets, he might once again entertain the audience with a lengthy screen space. So, portraying mythological characters is nothing new for Vijay.

Coming to ‘Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate’, the story revolves around an auto-rickshaw driver who enters a remote mansion to steal the valuables. But unfortunately, he gets trapped inside the mansion and seeks help. Here comes Lord Krishna who rescues him and makes him walk in the right path.

Although this movie initially struggled to attract the audience in first two weeks, later gained a steady momentum at the ticket windows. Eventually, the positive word of mouth made the movie cross 100 crores despite being made with a low budget and no major stars. This movie created a history in Gujarati film industry and grabbed the attention of other industry producers too.

Thus, Tollywood’s ace producer Dil Raju, who always looks for the best scripts, bagged the Telugu remake rights of this project. Thus, he is all set to remake it with Vijay Deverakonda. Reportedly, Vipul D Shah of Optimystix helped him to finalize this deal.

‘Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ was helmed by Ankit Sakhiya and had Karan Joshi in the lead role. Shruhad Goswami essayed Lord Krishna role and impressed all and sundry.
