India Strengthens Position As A Trusted Global Partner, Says PM Modi In Paris
PM Modi stated at an event that India is making steady progress toward becoming a trusted partner to the global community, built on stability, innovation, and long-term growth. In his remarks to the Indian community in Paris, he highlighted that trust has become a key factor in international relations as much as trade, and that countries are seeking reliable partners to establish resilient supply chains and sustainable collaboration.

In a speech at one of the largest indoor venues in Paris, Modi pointed out that India's rising brand value is due to its sustained economic growth and investments in areas that will be important for the future. The current era is one of the most pivotal in the nation's development trajectory, with aspirations and opportunities for transformation on the rise, he said. The Prime Minister emphasised India's progress in science and technology, citing the success of the Chandrayaan mission and the nation's plans to advance its research and development through the Gaganyaan program and the establishment of its own space station. He said these milestones are indicative of the confidence and determination of a nation aspiring to reach new heights. In addition, Modi highlighted the growing adoption of India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in France and expressed his optimism that it will contribute to enhancing the convenience of travellers and boost economic cooperation between the two nations. As far as trade is concerned, he mentioned the implementation of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement and the ongoing negotiations with the European Union, which will open up new business, job, farming and innovation opportunities.
Modi has reiterated India's stance at the G7 Summit, emphasising the need for inclusive global governance, economic growth, and trustworthy technology. He said that if we would like to have any cooperation with other nations, it will be meaningful if we work together with transparency, mutual respect and confidence in each other. On India-France ties, the PM highlighted that the beginning of an era of global uncertainty is a time of stability and cooperation in the bilateral relations. He said the ties between the two nations have been upgraded to a Special Global Strategic Partnership, and they are working on several important projects, such as the upcoming satellite project TRISHNA which will help in global water and food security. Modi also spoke of the privilege he has enjoyed of staying in power for the past 12 years, and said this was a testament to the robustness of Indian democracy. He attributed the country's development to policies of economic development, social welfare, and empowerment.
The Prime Minister said that India's growth is not limited to its economic progress; it is also a massive social change. He emphasised the gains in people's living standards, poverty alleviation, and the opportunities available to citizens across various social groups. He also spoke highly of the aspiration of the youth of India, the tenacity of farmers and the leadership of women in various sectors. In the future, Modi said, the present will be remembered as the era of India's vision and aspirations. He also stated that the country is creating an entire ecosystem for innovation and investing in industries and technologies that will shape the future of the coming decades and make India a key player in global development
