Hyderabad para swimmer Karthik Agneya set for 6-km Swimathon in Gurgaon
Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Karthik Agneya (S14 Para Swimmer) is set to make history as the only special‑needs and under‑aged participant in the upcoming 6 km non‑stop Swimathon at an Olympic‑size pool in Gurgaon.

Representing Telangana State and the Para Swimming Association of Telangana (PSAT), Karthik will compete alongside professional swimmers aged 18–30 — a rare honour granted in recognition of his outstanding endurance and past open‑water performances.
This milestone marks a proud moment for India’s para‑swimming community, showcasing how determination and discipline can bridge boundaries between para and able‑bodied sport.
