Gwalior Man Fined ₹5,500 After Lipstick-Covered Car Goes Viral
A Gwalior man found himself in trouble after a social media stunt of thousands of lipstick marks on his car went viral online.

Aditya Sikarwar, a resident of Gwalior, is said to have used approximately 3,400 lipstick kiss marks to decorate his white Maruti Suzuki Swift in an Instagram reel. The viral video, in which the car is painted and covered with almost all red lipstick prints, is said to have been viewed 5.5 million times in just 24 hours.
The report said it took about three-and-a-half hours for a female friend to apply about 3,400 lipstick marks on the car’s bonnet, doors and other areas of the body.
The reel soon caught the eye of the traffic police of Gwalior. The car’s registration (MP07 CC 9452) could be seen in the video, so the officials were said to be able to trace the car.
Later, a police team took the vehicle from the Thatipur area, and contacted Sikarwar for questioning at the traffic police station.
At the police station, Sikarwar admitted to his wrong and cleaned the lipstick marks from his car with water, said traffic station Abhishek Raghuvanshi.
Afterwards, police issued a ₹5,500 challan, alleging violations of traffic rules and careless driving.
Authorities also warned against stunts that compromise road safety or involve violations of traffic rules merely to generate social-media views.
