Guru Randhawa and Steve Aoki to perform together at EDC
The Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando is taking place from November 6 to 8 at Tinker Field in Florida. Steve Aoki is one of the main performers on November 7, and Guru will join him for part of his performance. Their collaboration on the Sirra remix will be performed live at the festival.
The original song is from Guru Randhawa’s album ‘Without Prejudice’. Steve Aoki has given it a new sound by mixing Punjabi music with electronic dance beats. The remix has been released on major music streaming platforms through Warner Music India.
Guru Randhawa shared his excitement about performing at the festival. He said, “Representing India and our sound on the EDC mainstage is a massive honour. Steve Aoki and I have built something special with the Sirra remix that completely fuses two very distinct worlds. Before our massive homecoming stadium show hits New Delhi, I can’t wait to hit the EDC mainstage and unleash that Sirra energy.”
Steve Aoki also spoke about the collaboration and said, “Electronic music is all about breaking boundaries and bridging cultures, so having Guru Randhawa join me on the EDC mainstage is incredible. I have some of my absolute fondest touring memories from India, and working on this Sirra remix together has been an amazing experience. November 7th is going to be unforgettable.”
Sirra remix gets international attention
Guru Randhawa’s original track Sirra has received a strong response from music lovers. According to the figures shared with the announcement, the song has crossed 356 million streams and 550 million YouTube views. It also gained popularity on social media and entered several top 20 music charts.
The song had earlier faced controversy over its lyrics, with some people raising objections. In March 2026, the Punjab and Haryana High Court stayed the proceedings against. The court noted that the lyrics could be understood as artistic and metaphorical expressions.
