Even Prashant Varma’s Maha Kali Joins The Pongal Race

Tollywood’s young filmmaker Prashant Varma, who wowed the Tollywood biggies with Hanu-Man, is now all set to deliver another masterpiece with Maha Kali. Although he is not directing this movie, it is part of his cinematic universe.

The upcoming Sankranthi festival is already heavily loaded with 5 most-awaited movies. Chiranjeevi’s Kaka will arrive in theaters on 13th while Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh’s multi-starrer will hit the theaters on 12th January. On the other hand, Sai Dharam Tej’s Sambarala Yeti Gattu will be released on 12th itself. Along with these movie Nagarjuna’s King 100 and Sharwanand’s George Krish are also lined-up for the Pongal release.

And now, Prashant Varma’s Maha Kali also locked 8th January, 2027. As Pongal holidays kick-start one week ahead of the festival, Prashant’s clever move might maintain the momentum for one week until these biggies hit the screens. Of late, Prashant shared the first glimpse from the movie revealing the main plot of the story.

In the beginning, a newborn will be seen abandoned inside the temple. But on the other hand, Akshaye Khanna (Shukracharya) and Samuthirakani who are still carrying the pain of Lord Sri Vishnu’s Mohini avatar’s illusion, wait for the right time to take revenge on Lord Indra. They try to capture Indra’s throne by awakening Raktabheej. But this can happen only on the sacred Chaturdashi.

But the Goddess Mahakali who pacifies the little one by giving milk, is all set to fight with Shukracharya and Raktabheej. Both Akshaye Khanna who is portraying Shukracharya’s role and Bhoomi Shetty who will be seen as Goddess Kali upped the expectations with their amazing screen presence.

Finally, this Pongal break will make us witness another fictional tale of Maa Kali and Raktabheej. Shukracharya’s fight for immortality once again kicks-off Deva Asura war!
