Dipke detained while heading to CP for Tiranga event, CJP supporters block police vehicles
New Delhi: Delhi Police detained Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Friday while he was on his way to Connaught Place for the party’s ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ event. The gathering was scheduled for 5 pm on October 16. Police had urged Dipke to cancel it, citing possible traffic disruption, public safety concerns and inconvenience to traders and commuters.

In a video shared by ANI, a police official was heard telling Dipke that he was being placed under preventive detention because prohibitory orders under Section 163 were in force in Connaught Place. Dipke maintained that he had not broken any law and asked police to suggest an alternative venue for the gathering.
