‘Destroying political culture of India’: Pralhad Joshi slams Kharge over controversial remark on PM Modi
New Delhi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday slammed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his recent remarks and accused the Congress of destroying India’s political culture.

Speaking to the media, the minister said, according to news agency IANS, “In the Congress party, we used to think that Rahul Gandhi was immature. But because of his company, everyone has become immature, frustrated and disappointed. By stooping to such a low level, they are destroying the political culture of India, or the culture of any field they are part of.”
He added, “Because they are in Rahul Gandhi’s company, from the national president to several state presidents, everyone is using the same language. One reason is that they are constantly with their leader and have to follow what he says. That also has an impact. Recently, the Karnataka Congress president used exactly the same kind of language. Now the Congress president is doing the same.”
Earlier, on Sunday, Kharge sparked a controversy with his remark, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega,” in response to a person’s comment that “the PM would not go anywhere.” The reported incident took place while Kharge was speaking at an event in Bihar.
Rajnath Singh too slammed Kharge
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also slammed Kharge over his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling them “extremely unfortunate.” He observed that the remarks reflected not only the Congress’s political downfall but also its ideological decline.
“Given the position Kharge holds, he is expected to demonstrate greater seriousness, restraint, dignity and responsible conduct in public life. If the national president of the Congress himself uses such language, it is not only contrary to the dignity of his post but also raises serious questions about the Congress’s political culture,” he added.
