Brilliant Trophy Open: Naren Gupta takes title after 12 rounds

Hyderabad: Naren Gupta of Zirakpur, Punjab, won the Brilliant Trophy Open online chess tournament on Wednesday, despite finishing level with Sriharish of Chennai on 11 points each after 12 rounds. Gupta secured the title on the basis of the tie-break rule.

Sriharish finished second, while K V K Karthik of Vijayawada secured third place with 10.5 points.
