BJP Industry Cell lights 76 lamps for PM
Bhubaneswar: From September 17 to October 17, 2026, the BJP is conducting a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and mark his 25 years of public service—first as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and then as the Prime Minister of India.

The State BJP Industry Cell launched a series of new initiatives, beginning with the “Ashribad Deep” event held on Thursday evening at Infocity. The programme drew a large turnout of startup founders and MSME owners, who shared how the Modi government’s welfare and development schemes have positively impacted their businesses and lives.
To celebrate Prime Minister Modi’s 76th birthday, young startups and small entrepreneurs lit 76 lamps amid Vedic chants and heartfelt prayers for his health and long life. The venue buzzed with the energy and emotion of these young business professionals. Colorful, hand-drawn Rangoli decorations brightened the room, showcasing the youth’s deep gratitude for Modi’s support. Throughout the event, inspired entrepreneurs recorded social media reels, sharing how the Prime Minister’s policies have brought positive changes to their lives.
Tapan Chand, the former NALCO CMD and Industry Cell Co-coordinator, stated that Prime Minister Modi’s focus on good governance (Susasan) and public welfare (Jan Kalyan) has benefited all sections of society. To highlight this, he noted that the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna helped over 80 crore people overcome hunger through free food grain distribution. Additionally, 25 crore people lifted themselves out of multidimensional poverty, and more than 12 crore women gained dignity through the construction of household toilets. He also emphasised that initiatives like Startup India have empowered the youth to confidently launch business ventures, earning widespread praise from entrepreneurs.
The programme was organised by Pravat Keshari Mishra and Tapan Chand, the Coordinator and Co-coordinator of the Industry Cell; Jayshree Mohanty, MD of Luminous Infoways; Omm Parida; and Shri Chandi.
