BGMI Campus MVP announced: KRAFTON selects 150 student ambassadors from IITs and NITs

New Delhi: KRAFTON India has launched BGMI Campus MVP, a 90-day student leadership programme aimed at expanding the BGMI community across India’s top engineering colleges. The initiative brings together 150 student ambassadors from 17 IITs and 28 NITs, who will lead gaming activities and community engagement on their campuses.

The programme aims to go beyond the gaming aspect and motivate students to organise tournaments, craft gaming content, host offline gaming meet-ups, and boost the gaming community within the campus, the company said. The first cohort was chosen from over 16,000 applications from over 5,000 universities nationwide.

Three-phase programme to drive campus engagement

The programme consists of 3 phases, from July to October. During the foundation phase, ambassadors will recruit players, organise Classic Match sessions and create gaming content. The expansion phase is dedicated to Team Deathmatch (TDM) tournaments, offline meet-ups on campus and expanding player participation. The last phase of the championship will include inter-department and national inter-institute rivalry matches.

Ambassadors will also be involved in creating long-term BGMI communities and competing in campus games as well.

Rewards and leadership opportunities

In the run-up to the release, Director (Marketing and Product Management), KRAFTON India, Srinjoy Das said that BGMI has grown into a platform for players to connect, create content, and build communities. He said Campus MVP is designed to inspire them to be the key players in creating a positive gaming environment on their campuses.

Ambassadors will be rewarded with welcome kits, vouchers, in-game UC, and even rewards such as gaming accessories for completing programme milestones. The top five ambassadors across all the country can win rewards of up to ₹15,000. There will also be prizes awarded to players in campus events throughout the various phases.

The launch is part of BGMI’s fifth year in India and the company’s ongoing work to support online and offline gaming communities, KRAFTON India said.
