Before Allu Arjun and Tarun, Sumanth was the first choice of these blockbusters!

Sumanth talked about the two films that he almost starred in but missed the opportunities which later went to be massive hits. While promoting his upcoming investigation thriller Newton’s 3 rd Law, Sumanth opened up saying that Nuvve Kavali (2000) romantic drama, produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, was one of the films he regretted not being a part of. The film later saw Tarun playing the lead role and eventually became a superhit.

He further added that he had no prior experience of such huge stardom, and hence was involved in two films Yuvakudu and Pelli Sambandham, and hence couldn’t manage to adjust his shooting schedule for Nuvve Kavali. He further said that he always wanted to act with Tarun, but it never materialized.

He further stated that he had once heard the first draft of Desamuduru’s script, which later saw Allu Arjun playing the lead role and became a massive hit, running into crores of rupees at the box office.

Sumanth said that he always thought that if he had taken up the role in Desamuduru , it would not have been as successful as it was with Allu Arjun in the lead stardom.

Nuvve Kavali and Desamuduru later became significant Hindi films for the actors who eventually starred in them, while Sumanth’s comments provide an intriguing look at missed opportunities by him that would have significantly impacted his stardom.
