Awarapan 2 not postponed: Vishesh Bhatt confirms August 14 release, trailer this week

Mumbai: Awarapan movie was one of the best movies of Emraan Hashmi. The actor is currently being discussed as the sequel of Awarapan 2 is set to hit the theaters on August 14. The fans and cinephiles are excited to watch the movie and it has already created a lot of buzz. There was also speculation over the film’s release plans as rumours were doing rounds on social media that the movie might get postponed.

Addressing the speculations, producer Vishesh Bhatt recently interacted with fans and put rumours of a postponement to rest. He said that the sequel is arriving as scheduled despite its box office clash with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947. Producer Vishesh Bhatt also said that fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie and will arrive in theaters on a scheduled date. He also said that the film’s trailer will be released later this week.

Producer Vishesh Bhatt held a live session on Vishesh Films’ Instagram handle on Tuesday to address the rumours surrounding Awarapan 2’s release. Vishesh said that several unverified social media accounts claimed that the movie has been pushed to September. He clarified that the speculation was baseless. He also clarified that Awarapan 2 was never postponed after its August 14 release date was announced. He said Vishesh Films has never had a history of delaying its releases.

The producer also said that the film’s large-scale action sequences required additional time to be executed properly. The schedule was further impacted after Emraan suffered an injury during filming. He assured fans that the film is now locked for its Independence Day weekend release.

Further reacting to clashing with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, Bhatt said, “We are lucky to be coming to theatres with the legend Sunny Deol. This is our first holiday release.” Emraan Hashmi also joined Instagram Live and dismissed rumours about Awarapan 2 being delayed. Reacting to the speculation, he quipped, “Joh mann chahe bol dete hai,” brushing aside the claims circulating online. The actor, who reprises his role as Shivam Pandit in the sequel, also teased a special surprise for fans on August 6.
