Performances
MC Hari, Manoj and Sashidhar are simply brilliant in their roles as three best friends and one can relate to almost every character they have portrayed in the film. The performances of the rest of the cast are equally remarkable. Veda Jalandhar’s Geethakka, a friend and a constant motivator, steals hearts and is an epitome of love and affection in Ameer Log . Vishwender Reddy’s performance as Chacha, the respected elder in the basti is also very impressive. Ravan Nittooru and Sai Yogi also stand out in their roles.
Technicalities
Ramana Reddy Soma’s Ameer Log , in place of grand narratives and superstars, finds entertainment and success in the emotions and the simplicity of the daily life. Ameer Log ’s first half sets the ground for the journey of the three best friends who are full of energy and life but do not know the value of education and hard work. The second half then takes us through their struggles, their emotions, their friendship and how they learn the lesson of life. Smaran’s soulful music and background scores, combined with SVK’s beautiful visuals and the seamless edits by Rohith give Ameer Log a good technical platform. Overall, the film is a great first effort by Madhavi Reddy Soma’s Awwal Number production.
