Well, he was not only an actor but also served the industry as a producer too. As of now, his son Allu Aravind is continuing his legacy with Geetha Arts banner which bankrolled many blockbusters in Tollywood.

Allu Ramalingaiah was born on October 1, 1922, in Palakollu, there after he went on to become one of the most popular character artists and comedians in Tollywood. Thus, his career spanned more than five decades and acted in more than 1,000 films becoming an unforgettable name in Telugu film industry.
Well, ahead of foraying into the film industry, he was a theatre artist and was also trained in homeopathy too. He also continued this practice even after foraying into the film industry. Not to forget, during the freedom movement, he was reportedly arrested by the British authorities for his participation in the Quit India Movement.
Allu Ramalingaiah made his debut with Puttillu in 1953. From there, there was no looking back for the talented actor. His career continued for more than five decades, with his final years still filled with memorable appearances.
Well, Allu Ramalingaiah was never restricted to one particular type of role. Although comedy became his biggest identity, he also portrayed supporting characters, serious roles and negative shades whenever the story demanded them. Allu Ramalingaiah passed away on July 31, 2004, at the age of 81. His legacy is being continued by his son Allu Aravind as a producer. While his grandsons Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish and Ram Charan are considered as one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry.
