Agadha: MS Raju presents making of his mystical thriller
By releasing the special making video of ‘The Origin of Agadha,’ the team has given a sneak peek into the making of the upcoming Telugu mystical thriller. The film, presented by Ajay KR under Sri Adi Varaha Productions, is produced by Kashi Visalakshi Balusu and directed by legendary MS Raju. It will release globally on August 14.

While talking about the making of the film, MS Raju called it one of the most challenging projects in his career. Raju said there was a lot of research involved in the making of this film, adding that he had visited many remote places in different states to understand the beliefs and rituals of the locals. One of the characters, Mahadevi, was inspired by a real incident, while the other prominent character named Simha has been played by Shravan Reddy.
Raju thanked the producer Kashi Visalakshi Balusu and the production house Sri Adi Varaha Productions for giving him the opportunity to make this film, saying that he did not have to think twice about taking up this project because Kashi supported all his ideas without any hesitation. M.S. Raju also thanked the lovely actress Ulka Gupta, Jovika Vijaykumar and Sijju, cinematographer Nani Chamidishetty, Chaitanya Vegi, and the rest of the team for their contribution to the film.
Actress Kamakshi Bhaskarla said working with MS Raju has been a learning experience for her, adding that she researched a lot about the characters portrayed in the film to do a believable performance. She added that the film has a lot of thrilling moments that will surely give the audience goosebumps.
While Shravan Reddy said his role in the film has been challenging till now, Ulka Gupta and Jovika Vijaykumar were confident that Agadha will surprise the viewers with its unique genre.
Music director Rakesh Venkatapuram says that Agadha’s background music will be unique, while editor Junaid Siddiqui said the film’s narrative will keep the audience guessing throughout the film. Agadha’s art director, Rajeev Nair, said the film has an entirely new visual appeal that is different from the typical mystery-thriller movies.
With the special making video of the film already going viral on social media, Agadha, which will release globally on August 14, has promised to deliver an entertaining mystical thriller that will leave the audience questioning reality itself.
