Adani sets up computer lab at Ayodhya Gurukul, blending tradition with tech

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, announced on Tuesday that the group had installed a modern computer lab at a ‘gurukul’ (traditional school) in Ayodhya, aiming to connect traditional education with the digital age.

Adani expressed that it was “gratifying” to see students from Shri Nishulk Gurukul Mahavidyalaya using the modern lab. “Being able to fulfill even a small wish of theirs fills us with immense joy,” he wrote on X.

Adani noted that the initiative sought to bring new generations closer to their roots while simultaneously opening up new avenues for learning.

“This humble effort to bridge our ancient tradition of knowledge and the digital age aims to bring the new generation closer to their roots and open up new learning opportunities; that is our sincere hope,” he stated.

He also conveyed his “best wishes for a bright future” to the ‘gurukul’ students.

Adani's visit to Ayodhya

Adani had visited the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya in April of this year and stated that the Adani Foundation would support the preservation of ‘gurukul’ culture in the age of artificial intelligence.

During that visit, he also had the opportunity to perform ‘darshan’ (sacred viewing) of the deity Ramlalla at the temple.

After the visit Adani said: “My family and I had the chance to perform darshan of Lord Ram, in Ayodhya. That moment was very emotional. Filled us with great pride.”

Adani also said that the temple was not a centre of devotion but also a symbol of India’s culture, unity and confidence.

“The ideals of Lord Ram inspire us to follow the path of truth and duty.” “I pray that the blessings of Lord Ram accompany us all and that our country continues to advance along the path of progress,” he declared. “The Adani Foundation will provide its full cooperation to preserve this ‘gurukul’ culture in the age of AI.”
