Aahwahan Foundation Launches Flood Relief Initiative In Kottayam
Bengaluru: Aahwahan Foundation has launched Kerala Flood Relief 2026 to support families affected by floods in different parts of Kottayam district. The initiative focuses on providing essential food, grocery and medical supplies to households struggling with disrupted livelihoods and access to basic necessities.

As part of the relief programme, the foundation plans to distribute more than 12,000 grocery kits, 5,000 dry food kits and 2,000 medical kits. So far, 7,200 kits have been distributed in flood-affected areas of Changanassery and Ettumanoor, the foundation said.
Foundation teams and volunteers are working on the ground to identify families requiring assistance and coordinate the distribution of relief materials. The supplies are aimed at helping affected households meet their immediate food and healthcare needs while communities begin the process of recovery.
“During a disaster, timely support can make a meaningful difference to families who have lost their homes, livelihoods and sense of security. Our aim is to stand beside affected communities with compassion and dignity and ensure essential assistance reaches those who need it most,” said Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO and Founder of Aahwahan Foundation.
The relief initiative has received support from L&T Finance CSR and other donors. The foundation said such partnerships have helped strengthen its ability to reach more affected communities.
The organisation said the programme reflects its broader commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during natural disasters. It stressed that coordinated efforts involving volunteers, donors, organisations and local communities can help ensure timely assistance reaches families during emergencies.
