‘I didn’t take his girl’: A$AP Rocky responds to Drake-Rihanna drama
New Delhi: Rihanna and Drake had an on and off relationship and were linked romantically from the late 2000s to the early 2010s. Drake later admitted that he had stronger feelings for Rihanna and felt that she did not feel the same way.
In 2016 Drake publicly spoke about his love for Rihanna while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards. Rihanna later told Vogue in 2018 that the moment made her feel uncomfortable. She also said that she and Drake were no longer friends but were not enemies either.
Drake-Rocky feud reignites as rapper dismisses ‘took his girl’ claims
During an interview for a BET digital series host Jason Lee directly asked Rocky if Drake was upset because he had “taken his girl.” Rocky quickly denied it and said “I didn’t take his girl.”
Lee then joked that Rocky had “taken everybody’s girl.” Rocky did not deny the joke and instead spoke about his frustration that people are still focused on the old situation years later. He said it was strange that everyone had moved on with their lives while people were still stuck on the issue.

Rocky also spoke about Drake’s recent song “Iceman” in which Drake claimed that Rihanna did not support his album on social media. Rocky dismissed the comment.
Rocky calls Out Drake’s Rihanna References as ‘Soft’
When he was asked about his own song “Stole Ya Flow” which many people believe is aimed at Drake Rocky reacted with amusement instead of denying the connection. His response appeared to show that he was comfortable with the song being seen as a diss.
The wider feud between the two goes back to 2023 and 2024 when Drake took indirect shots at Rihanna and Rocky in “Fear of Heights”. Rocky later responded on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Show of Hands” with the line “Flacko hit it first, son.” In a separate interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden Rocky criticised Drake’s continued references to Rihanna and called the behaviour soft. He said “For you to be picking at a female, that’s soft to me.”
