‘It was mad’: When Aditi Rao Hydari opened up about working with Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh
New Delhi: Actress Aditi Rao Hydari once opened up about working with and Ranveer Singh. While she has shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, she has worked with Ranveer Singh in Padmaavat.
For the unversed, is making headlines for his upcoming film, , scheduled to release on November 6, 2026. Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, will be next seen in post-apocalyptic zombie thriller Pralay.
What did Aditi Rao Hydari say about Ranbir Kapoor?
In a past interview with Humans Of Bombay, Aditi Rao Hydari said that working with Ranbir Kapoor was “Mad”. She added, “He’s incredible, so incredible. He’s one of my favourite actors, and he’s so present. He can convince you of anything.”
What did Aditi say about Ranveer Singh?
In the same interview, Aditi recalled that she finished shooting a love story with acclaimed director Mani Ratnam and three days later, she was on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set.
After arriving on the set, she was mesmerised. She said, “I walked onto the set, and ofcourse, I was mesmerised because it was like, ‘What is this world?’ Incredible. I was overwhelmed.”
She then recalled that her first scene on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set was with Ranveer Singh, whom she has known since early days of her career.
Recalling what Ranveer told her, she said, “Ranveer looked at me and said, ‘Adu, you know that you are living the dream, right?’ (Being on Mani Ratnam’s set and three days later, on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set). He was shaking me, and I realised, ‘You’re right, you’re right.’ It was really, really incredible.”

She also spoke fondly about Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and said, “I love Sanjay sir. I just love working with him. He creates this incredible atmosphere for us, and he loves his actors and characters. Everything he does comes from love and extreme passion. It’s very inspiring and amazing to see. Everybody talks about how he challenges his actors, but he challenges himself the most to find that magic, to keep creating, to find something almost ephemeral. It’s an experience.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, she was last seen in Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swamy starrer Gandhi Talks. She also impressed everyone with her portrayal as Bibbojaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi.
She will be next seen in the Indo-British international film, Lioness and Imtiaz Ali’s O Saathi Re.
