To stop black marketing, the government tightened the rules of diesel sale, but the problems of farmers may increase.

The government has imposed a 90-day rule limiting retail sales of diesel to 200 liters per day per customer. This is aimed at curbing unfair advantage by industrial bulk buyers from taking advantage of the difference of about Rs 40 per liter between retail and wholesale diesel prices. But this may create difficulties for the farmers.
