Jana Nayagan makers plan to add six deleted scenes after box office success

Chennai: Jana Nayagan film makers are currently enjoying the success of the film. The movie has been in controversy after it was halted prior to its release by CBFC. The makers were asked to make several cuts in the film and as it is running successfully in the theaters now, makers have come with another exciting update.

As the film marks Vijay’s final film before his full-fledged entry into politics. The director revealed on Sunday that six deleted scenes might be added to the film . Director H Vinoth during the success meet of Jana Nayagan in Chennai on Monday said that six scenes were left out of the final cut and makers are now considering adding them back to the theatrical version from next week.

He said that two fun (comedy) scenes featuring Vijay, two action scenes and two other emotional scenes will be added. He said that the team will think about adding them in the next week or so.

Jana Nayagan hit theatres worldwide on July 23, 2026. The movie is produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions. It is a Tamil political action drama starring Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. The film also features Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain and Priyamani in pivotal roles.

The film is the official Tamil remake of the 2023 Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari. Fans are excited and will wait for the updated version of the movie. As the movie has already created buzz and drawn a massive crowd, the makers are expecting that adding deleted scenes will help draw more footfall.
