Ramayana director Nitesh Tiwari reveals film’s cliffhanger ending, confirms two-part epic
Mumbai: The long -awaited mythological film Ramayana is increasing the graph of curiosity of fans day by day as makers always reveal something exciting related to the film. The director of the film Nitesh Tiwari has now revealed how the Ramayana movie will end. He said that the first instalment of the movie has been designed to leave audiences wanting more. His team is just trying to add more curiosity like the makers of Baahubali: The Beginning. Director S S Rajamouli made fans talk about the second part of the film until it came later. It seems that Ramayana makers are planning something like that.
Director Nitesh Tiwari while speaking during the Ramayana panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, which was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and producer Namit Malhotra also said that the two-part epic will conclude its first chapter on a cliffhanger.
Nitesh Tiwari said that the makers of the Ramayana believe that the film is too big and it is not possible to narrate the whole story within 2 to 3 hours. He said the story has been framed in such a way that the first film would leave audiences eager for the second chapter. He was quoted saying, “And part one is a, something which you can call a cliffhanger, or something which will make people want to watch part two the moment they leave the theater. That’s basically it, you know. It’s a story which deserves two parts. It cannot be told in one part. And we just kind of decided that this probably would be the best part where we can leave it for part one and leave the rest for part two.”
As the director has confirmed that the movie will hit theaters in two parts, it will be exciting to see how much of an impression the first part will leave on the audience. The ancient epic film has been one of the most-awaited films of the year, with its teaser generating massive buzz even before its official release. The makers have not yet unveiled the trailer officially but multiple leaked clips are doing rounds on social media.
