Suneel’s treatment follows his meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in September. During the meeting, the singer and his family reportedly sought assistance for his eye condition. The Chief Minister assured them that arrangements would be made for his treatment, giving the family hope after years of dealing with his visual impairment.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, the Chief Minister had also assured Suneel of support for music education and a financial assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh as an honourarium. The beginning of his eye treatment is therefore an important development for the singer, who has continued to pursue music despite his visual challenges. However, whether he will regain his eyesight will depend on the medical assessment and the course of treatment. No confirmed prognosis has been made public so far.
