‘Who is secretly meeting whom abroad?’ PM Modi attacks Opposition, warns of ‘Dimagi Naxalism’
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday accused the Opposition of adopting obstruction as a central part of its politics after more than a decade of electoral setbacks. He also alleged that certain forces sought to divide the country and create instability.

Addressing a gathering in Gujarat on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 151st birth anniversary, PM Modi questioned overseas meetings in remarks seen as a veiled attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Questions over overseas meetings
“These forces are continuously engaged in conspiracies to divide the country. Vicious plots are being hatched to divide and instigate conflict among the children of Mother India. Driven by more than a decade of frustration and disappointment, these people have now come out into the open.
“Who is secretly meeting whom abroad? Which anti-India forces are supporting them? Who is speaking the language of India’s enemies? We must recognise all these patterns.
We must confront them unitedly,” Modi said, according to ANI.
The Prime Minister accused the Opposition of violating constitutional dignity and boundaries. He alleged that attempts to spread misinformation posed a challenge that citizens needed to confront together.
Warning against ‘Dimagi Naxalism’
Modi accused certain groups of using social media to circulate rumours and damage the country’s reputation. “Social media is being weaponised to spread rumours and to malign India’s image.
The citizens of the country must handle this together. We have eliminated Naxalism in far-flung areas, but the threat of ‘Dimagi Naxalism’ has not yet been averted from the nation. The country must always remain alert to these ‘Dimagi Naxals’.”
He also alleged that forces within India had tried to create instability through falsehoods. “However, the citizens stood shoulder to shoulder with the nation.
This is the greatest strength of this country, and it serves as the ultimate foundation for our courage,” he said.
India’s energy crisis response
PM Modi praised India’s resilience amid global disruptions and a worsening international fuel crunch. He said the country had protected its citizens from the impact of the global energy crisis, even as several nations struggled with supplies.
Earlier, he offered floral tributes at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar as Indian Air Force helicopters showered flower petals. He later attended the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, administered the unity pledge and reviewed the Ekta Parade at the Parade Ground.
