Today’s Breaking News LIVE Updates, October 28, 2026: With 85.6% votes counted, PM Netanyahu’s bloc has slipped to 53 seats, eight short of the 61 needed for majority, Ynet reported. The Eisenkot-led bloc has 48 seats and Arab parties have 19, taking the combined opposition to 67. Neither camp can govern alone, and it is unclear if Jewish opposition parties will ally with Palestinian parties. Regular ballots are counted; double-envelope votes from soldiers and others are pending and could shift results. If no coalition forms, Israel may face another election, with Netanyahu continuing as caretaker.
