Tiger Shroff firing case: Accused practised shooting before attack, gun misfired in Andheri hotel
New Delhi: The investigation into the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has uncovered fresh details about what allegedly happened in the days leading up to the attack. Investigators have learnt that the accused practised firing near Mumbai before the shooting and that a gun accidentally went off while being tested inside a hotel room in Andheri.

The details reportedly emerged during the interrogation of the accused as police tried to piece together how the attack was planned and who was involved at different stages.
Accused practised firing before Tiger Shroff attack
According to sources, the accused told investigators that they had selected a location near Mumbai to test the firearm before carrying out the attack. They allegedly practised shooting at the spot, with one accused firing two rounds and another firing a single round. Police are now examining the location as part of the investigation.
Another incident reportedly took place at a hotel in Andheri, where the accused were allegedly handling the weapon before the attack. Sources said the gun accidentally went off inside the room and the bullet struck a bed. Investigators are looking into both locations as they attempt to establish a clear timeline of the preparations leading up to the shooting.
10 arrests in Tiger Shroff firing case
The investigation has widened, with Mumbai Police arresting seven more people from Haryana in connection with the case. According to ANI, 10 people are currently under police suspicion.
Four accused earlier arrested by Delhi Police, inclusing, Kunal, 21, Sumit, 19, Radha, 23, and Babita, 23, were brought from Delhi to Mumbai’s Anti-Extortion Cell on Thursday. The two women were subsequently kept at Azad Maidan police station. Police reportedly identified more suspects after following leads that emerged during the investigation.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang link being probed
Investigators are also examining an alleged link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Mumbai Police told a court on Wednesday that the firing was allegedly carried out at the direction of Anil Pandit, described by police as a suspected associate of the gang. Pandit, a 32-year-old originally from Haryana’s Panipat and reportedly based in the US, is accused of directing the procurement of weapons used in the attack.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Raj Tilak Roshan said investigators had uncovered a network allegedly involved in obtaining and transporting the firearms.
“Two of the arrested suspects had travelled to Amritsar to procure the weapons. The two female suspects then smuggled the firearms by train to Mumbai, handing them over directly to the attackers,” Roshan said.
“The newly-arrested male suspect had stayed back in Mumbai alongside the shooters to provide logistical support and local assistance,” he added.
According to Delhi Police, Kunal allegedly travelled with Sumit to Amritsar and collected a pistol and 20 rounds of ammunition on Pandit’s instructions. Radha and Babita are accused of subsequently transporting the weapon to Mumbai.
