Udta Teer CBFC cuts revealed: Blood on India map removed, film gets UA 13+ certificate

New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the upcoming Hindi spy comedy Udta Teer for theatrical exhibition with a UA 13+ certificate after the makers carried out a series of modifications, including the removal of a shot showing blood on the map of India.

The film, jointly produced by Sikhya Entertainment and Dharma Productions, received its censor certificate on October 1, 2026. The certified version has a runtime of 137 minutes and 41 seconds, or approximately two hours and 18 minutes, and will be screened in 2D with English subtitles.

According to the certification details, the CBFC’s Revising Committee directed the makers to delete a particular visual featuring blood on an Indian map. To ensure continuity following the deletion, the preceding shot was extended.

Apart from the visual modification, the committee also sought compliance with statutory health warnings. A static anti-liquor warning was inserted at the 01:12:35 mark, while the mandatory “Smoking Kills” disclaimer was incorporated into several sequences as specified by the board.

The makers were also instructed to make changes to the film’s closing credits. The end-credit sequence was extended to cover the remaining runtime and eliminate blank screen space. Additionally, the background music accompanying the rolling credits was replaced.

Following the implementation of the prescribed changes, Udta Teer was granted a UA 13+ classification, indicating that parental guidance is advised for viewers below the age of 13.

The film’s certification has been recorded under certificate number DIL/6/142/2026-MUM.

Backed by two prominent production houses, Sikhya Entertainment and Dharma Productions, Udta Teer belongs to the spy-comedy genre, combining elements of espionage with humour.

With the CBFC formalities completed, the film has secured certification for its theatrical release.
