Inside Rashmika Mandanna’s 3 engagement rings: Victorian diamond, Tiffany band and a debate over ‘choice’
New Delhi: Rashmika Mandanna and s engagement rings have become a talking point, but not just because of their price or design. While Vijay offered a closer look at the three-ring stack he chose for Rashmika, his comments also sparked a debate online, with some people questioning why her engagement jewellery was selected to match his personal style.

The couple appeared on the second episode of , where they spoke about their relationship, careers and life after marriage. During the conversation, Vijay said he was disappointed that the media had not paid enough attention to Rashmika’s engagement ring. He then held up her left hand to show the rings and explained that he had chosen them.
While the jewellery caught viewers’ attention, the comment also drew criticism, with some social media users asking, “Where is her choice?” The discussion has since brought both the design of Rashmika’s rings and the couple’s approach to choosing them into focus.
Inside Rashmika Mandanna’s three ring engagement stack
Rashmika’s engagement stack features three distinct rings, each with its own design. The first is a rare Victorian diamond ring, reportedly created in the early 1900s, with an old mine-cut diamond at its centre. According to jewellery retailer Trumpet & Horn, the antique design gives the ring its distinctive character.
The second ring is a simple gold band with a slight curve that forms a V-like shape. Similar designs are sometimes associated with serpent-inspired motifs in South Indian jewellery traditions, where such forms may carry symbolic meanings linked to protection and good fortune.
The third ring is from Tiffany & Co.’s Sixteen Stone collection. The couple were also seen wearing matching bands in their wedding photographs in February 2026, bringing further attention to the luxury jewellery brand.

Tiffany bands worth lakhs
According to Tiffany & Co.’s official website, the Sixteen Stone design was created by legendary jewellery designer Jean Schlumberger in 1959. The collection’s signature pattern features round brilliant diamonds alternating with gold X-shaped details, inspired by Schlumberger’s family background in textiles.
The collection includes different metal combinations and price points. The rose-gold and platinum version is listed at around $16,000 (approximately Rs 14.7 lakh), while the platinum-and-yellow-gold version costs around $17,000 (approximately Rs 15.6 lakh). A narrower platinum-and-yellow-gold design featuring diamonds is priced at about $11,500 (approximately Rs 10.6 lakh).

Based on jewellery expert Priyanshu Goel’s observations about the couple’s matching yellow-gold and platinum bands with diamonds, their rings have been estimated to be worth around ₹30 lakh together. However, the exact model and price of the rings worn by Rashmika and Vijay have not been independently confirmed.
‘Where is her choice?’: Vijay’s comment sparks debate
Beyond the luxury details, Vijay’s explanation about choosing the rings has become another part of the conversation. Some social media users questioned whether Rashmika’s personal preference had been considered, particularly after he said he had selected the rings to match his own style.

The reaction has added a relationship debate to what might otherwise have been a story about celebrity jewellery. While some viewers may see the matching rings as a personal gesture, others believe engagement jewellery should reflect both partners’ tastes and choices.
For now, Rashmika’s ring stack has drawn attention for two reasons: its mix of vintage and contemporary designs, and the discussion around who gets to make the final choice when it comes to an engagement ring.
