Meet Devi Padukone Singh! Deepika-Ranveer reveal second daughter’s name with first family photo
New Delhi: On Dussehra 2026, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh introduced their second daughter to the world. The couple revealed that they have named their baby girl Devi Padukone Singh, while also sharing their first family photograph since welcoming her last month.
The post was soon flooded with love and wishes from fans and members of the film industry, including Sharvari, Mrunal Thakur, Bhumi Pednekar, Pragya Jaiswal and Harshdeep Kaur.

Deepika shared the picture on Instagram with the caption, “Of Love & Abundance…Devi Padukone Singh.”
The family portrait features Ranveer, Deepika, their elder daughter Dua and newborn Devi dressed in coordinated golden traditional outfits. Ranveer can be seen holding Dua as she lovingly kisses her baby sister, while Deepika cradles Devi in her arms.

What does Deepika-Ranveer’s daughter Devi’s name mean?
The significance of the choice is that the name is being revealed on Dussehra. ‘Devi’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘goddess’ or ‘female deity’. In Hindu traditions, the term refers to the divine feminine and is connected with different manifestations of the Goddess.
Dussehra, or Vijayadashami, represents the victory of good over evil and is on the tenth day of the Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations. Deepika and Ranveer chose the auspicious day Dussehra to reveal the name of their second daughter.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Devi on September 19, 2026. She is their second child after daughter Dua, who was born on September 8, 2024.
The couple wed in Lake Como, Italy, on November 14, 2018. Meanwhile, the wedding festivities included ceremonies paying tribute to Deepika’s Konkani heritage and Ranveer’s Sindhi roots.
Their love story began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. After dating for several years, the two secretly got engaged in 2015 before eventually getting married three years later.
