‘Kaagangal’ wraps up shooting; enters post-production

The makers of the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Kaagangal’, directed by noted filmmaker Anand Annamalai, have apparently wrapped up the shoots of the film. As reports suggest, the entire cast and crew celebrated the completion of the shoot on a sweet note, as it coincided with Yogi Babu’s birthday. The team has cut a cake on the sets of the film to mark the special day.

Mayavaram Pictures bannered the film which has gathered significant attention since its announcement considering it is the directorial debut of Anand Annamalai. The filmmaker, also a writer and an actor, has previously written the National Award-winning movie Kaaka Muttai and Kuttrame Thandanai.

Apart from directing the film, Annamalai has also written the story and screenplay of the film along with the dialogues. He has also taken up the assignment of the producer and the editor of the film. The movie stars Kishore, Yogi Babu, Vidharth, Lijomol Jose, and Guru Somasundaram in the lead roles. Kaagangal touches upon the theme of faith, humanity, and spiritual peace in an unconventional manner.

With the completion of shoot, it has now entered the final leg of the production and is currently undergoing post-production. As sources reveal, the team is working on the dubbing, sound mix, background score, VFX, and DI of the film. The film’s narration and screenplays have been praised for their uniqueness.

The makers of the film unveiled the title-look poster of the film in January 2023. The film has been shot by cinematographer Saravanan Elavarasu and has been scored by M.S. Krishna. The art director of the film is Ramu Thangaraj while Antony Reuben has been the sound designer and Tina has worked on the costumes. As the post-production of the film begins, fans now await for the makers to unveil the release date of the film.
