January 12 Vidudala: Venkatesh, Keerthy Suresh film begins Ooty schedule
Chennai: The unit of director Anil Ravipudi’s eagerly awaited entertainer, January 12 Vidudala, featuring Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, has commenced its next shooting schedule in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
Director Anil Ravipudi took to social media to share a video clip in which the team announced the commencement of the Ooty schedule.
He wrote, “The beau𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐘ful schedule begins with my wonderful team. #January12Vidudala #Sankranti2027.”
It may be recalled that the unit shot in Mysuru last month. Sources close to the film’s unit told IANS that all four lead actors — Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty — were spotted at the shooting location in Mysuru. The team also shot a song there, among other scenes.
Actor Sriman, who is also part of the film, took to his X account to express his delight at being part of a song choreographed by Brinda Master after eight years.
The actor wrote, “Rocking choreography by the legendary dance master BRINDA. It’s been almost eight years since I got a chance to be a part of her choreography. Thank you, director Anil Ravipudi garu @AnilRavipudi.”
The makers recently announced the film’s title as January 12 Vidudala. Before the announcement, the project had been tentatively referred to as #VenkyAnil5 and #NKRAR2.
A few days ago, the makers released the first-look poster of Venkatesh as Lt. Colonel Venkat Reddy in the film. The first look was unveiled to mark the actor completing 40 years in the film industry.
The poster showed Venkatesh in an Indian Army camouflage uniform, wearing sunglasses and a scarf, and standing beside a rugged SUV. His composed stance and intense styling presented him as a stern military officer.
The poster identified Venkatesh as Lt. Colonel Venkat Reddy, who serves in the Indian Army and specialises in counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation. The Army insignia and crossed-swords emblem in the backdrop reinforced the film’s military setting.
The combination of Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram is expected to be a major attraction, with their contrasting personalities and lively camaraderie set to add an exciting dimension to Anil Ravipudi’s trademark style of entertainment.
Produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film is presented by Suresh Productions, Archana and Zee Studios.
Sources said work on the much-awaited film was progressing at a brisk pace and that the prestigious project was shaping up to be a grand-scale entertainer.
Keerthy Suresh stars opposite Venkatesh, while Krithi Shetty is paired with Kalyan Ram. The film brings together an accomplished technical team, with GV Prakash Kumar composing the music, Sameer Reddy handling cinematography, Tammiraju overseeing editing and AS Prakash designing the production. S Krishna serves as the executive producer.
