Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlights achievements of PM Modi over 25 years at press conference

Lucknow, October 09. The new name of Noida International Airport in Jewar will be ‘Narendra Modi International airport.’ On Friday, the proposal was sanctioned by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister characterized the decision as a way of showing the state government’s appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’S 25 years in office and his guidance in developing Uttar Pradesh.

At the press conference held after the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister said, “The Cabinet had also passed a resolution felicitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of 25 years of his public life. On October 7, the Prime Minister completed 25 years of continuous, dedicated public service as head of government. This is a glorious chapter in Indian democratic history. This 25-year journey has been guided by the spirit of ‘Service, Dedication and Nation First’. It is not merely a journey of power or governance, but a journey from ‘public service to public welfare and from public participation to public trust’.”

The Chief Minister stated that Noida International Airport, Jewar, is a major gift to Uttar Pradesh from the Prime Minister. In the coming years, this airport will take the state’s economy, industry, tourism and global connectivity to new heights. With this sentiment, the Cabinet has approved naming the airport ‘Narendra Modi International Airport’.

The Cabinet expressed its gratitude for the Prime Minister’s 25 years in public life, his continuous guidance, his unwavering commitment to Uttar Pradesh’s development, and his leadership in giving the country a new direction. The Cabinet also conveyed its appreciation for the Prime Minister’s distinguished leadership. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership and guidance, the state government will continue working with full energy, sincerity and commitment to realize the resolve of ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh, Viksit Bharat-2047’.

The Chief Minister stated, “The Prime Minister is an elected representative from Kashi and is leading the country from the land of Uttar Pradesh. During his 2014 visit to Kashi, the Prime Minister said, “Maa Ganga has called me.” Since then, the relationship between Kashi and the Prime Minister has gone beyond political representation. A new relationship has emerged between the development of Kashi, spiritual renaissance and the overall development of Uttar Pradesh.”

Uttar Pradesh has developed a new work culture for development under the guidance of the Prime Minister and coordinated efforts between Center, state, and country under “double-engineering” government, according to CM. Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh was characterized by administrative fatigue, insecurity, and a lack of basic amenities. Consequently, development was built on the principles of good governance that was driven by technology, strong law and order, modern infrastructure, and an investment-friendly environment.

Around 60,000 crore has been allocated by the Chief Minister for 42 national highways in Uttar Pradesh, which cover an area of 2,483 kilometers. New projects, including the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway, Delhi–Meerut Expressways, and Kanpur -Lucknow Expressweg, have given the state’s connectivity new life.

He added, “Metro networks have expanded in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Noida-Greater Noida. Jewar International Airport is set to become the new hub of this changing connectivity landscape. The CM described it as the largest airport in Uttar Pradesh and a project that will develop into one of the country’s major aviation hubs in the future.”

According to the Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh is becoming a significant logistics and industrial hub in the country. A significant link between the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors is established in Dadri. The state has a dedicated freight corridor that spans more than 1,050 kilometers. The construction of the first multimodal inland port terminal on National Waterway-1 and the country’s first freight village spread over 100 acres has been completed in Varanasi. A new direction in industrial development is being taken by the BrahMos missile assembly unit in Lucknow, as well as the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor and the 1,000-acre PM MITRA Textile Park.

Under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi regime, over 3 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received more than 1 lakh crore in direct transfers from the government, as per the Chief Minister’s statement on the welfare of farmers. Loans to farmers amounting to about 86 lakh have been waived. 13,42,978 crore has been granted in crop loans by 5.50 crore Kisan Credit Cards from the state. Besides the record-breaking payment of over 3.30 lakh crore, the state has also compensated an additional 79.51 lakh farmers for crop losses.

The Chief Minister said, “More than 65 lakh poor families in Uttar Pradesh have received houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the government is providing free foodgrains to around 15 crore people in 3.67 crore ration cardholder families. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, more than 2.46 crore rural households have received tap water connections. The impact has been particularly significant in the Bundelkhand and Vindhya regions. The Jan Dhan Yojana, expansion of banking services and the network of Bank Mitras have also strengthened financial inclusion in the state.”

The Chief Minister said the state has issued around 6.08 crore Ayushman cards under Ayushman Bharat. More than 9.90 crore citizens in the state have received health security coverage. More than 1.09 crore patients suffering from serious illnesses have benefited from free treatment worth ₹18,798 crore. Arogya Melas have provided health services to 14.67 crore citizens. Operationalizing AIIMS in Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli is another major achievement in the health sector.

He said, “More than 3.37 crore toilets and 59,183 community toilets have been built in the state under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the state has provided 1.86 crore free LPG connections. The state government is providing women with free LPG cylinders on Holi and Diwali. Extensive work under Namami Gange has ensured the Ganga’s cleanliness and uninterrupted flow. Development and conservation projects along various stretches of the Ganga, including in Kashi, have created a new identity from religious, cultural and environmental perspectives.”

More than 1 crore women are members of 10 lakh self-help groups, as stated by the Chief Minister. The PM SVANidhis have provided financial backing to more than 15 lac street merchants. SVAMITVA has reached more than 91,000 villages and in the form of Gharauni documents, property ownership certificates have been issued to over 1.10 crore rural families.. Women are now more engaged in economic, social, and political ventures.

The speaker noted that several actions were implemented to constitutionally recognize the OBC Commission, grant a 10 percent reservation to less fortunate groups, and advocate for the welfare of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and those in the most disadvantaged classes.

The One District-One Product initiative has brought international recognition to the local products and handicrafts of Uttar Pradesh, as stated by the Chief Minister. The Pink enamel work of Kashi, black pottery of Nizamabad, perfume of Kannauj, and Zardozi embroidery of Lucknow are among the UP products that the Prime Minister has given worldwide during his foreign visits. These local products of Uttar Pradesh have been gifted to foreign heads of state in a way that reinforces the concept of ‘local to global’. The state of Uttar Pradesh is a major contributor to the production of food crops, including food grains, milk, sugarcane, mangoes, amla, and millets. “.

Over 62 lakh youth have been provided with smartphones and tablets under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikar Yojana, as stated by the CM. There have been more than 9.50 lakh appointments made by the state government and 65 lakh youth have secured jobs in the private sector. Training of over 31.11 lakh youth has been provided through employment fairs, ITIs and the Skill Development Mission. The introduction of major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, a modern sports complex in Kashi, and the National Center of Excellence have given fresh perspectives to sports and young talent.

The Chief Minister linked the Prime Minister’s contribution not only to economic and infrastructure development but also to spiritual and cultural renaissance.

The construction of the Ram Temple in AyodhYa and consecration of Ram Lalla brought an end to a 500-year hiatus, according to him. Kashi Vishwanath Dham was reconstructed, and a grand and divine corridor was constructed from the Ganga ghats to Baba VISHWANATH DHAM. Maa Annapurna’s idol, which was around 100 years old, was brought back from overseas by devotees and reintroduced at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Lord Buddha’s Piprahwa relics were brought back to India after 127 years. Prayagraj Mahakumbh attracted over 66 crore visitors.?

According to the Chief Minister, this cultural revival encompasses events such as Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Abhidhamma Day, the Buddhist Circuit, development project at Sant Ravidas’s birthplace (Iyengarh), museum and statue projects, Chauri Chaura centenary celebrations, and the ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ dedicated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Lucknow.

Additionally, he mentioned the global recognition of Varanasi’s music and Lucknow’S culinary arts, the international recognition for Buddhist sites linked to Sarnath, and efforts to preserve cultural heritage.

He also emphasized that the Bharat Ratna was bestowed upon Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya and former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh as a national tribute to the achievements of notable figures from the state.
