Schools across the will begin their Dasara holidays on Saturday, 10 October, two days earlier than scheduled.

The School Education Department’s academic calendar for 2026–27 lists the holiday period as running from 12 to 21 October.

However, 10 October is the second Saturday of the month, followed by Sunday, giving pupils an extended break before the official holiday period begins.
