Telangana’s Naresh Gotte wins South Zone Tenpin Bowling Tournament
Hyderabad: Telangana’s Naresh Gotte won the South Zone Tenpin Bowling Tournament title, which concluded at Game Xtreme here.

In the final, played on the cumulative pinfall of two games, eighth-seeded Naresh G (TG) gained a strong 32-pin lead in Game 1 against top seed Naveen Siddam of Telangana, winning 180-148.
Naveen mounted a spirited fightback in Game 2, outscoring Naresh 173-158, but the 32-pin deficit from the opening game proved too substantial to overturn. Naresh held his nerve to secure a 17-pin aggregate victory, 338-321, completing a remarkable run from the eighth qualifying spot to lift the South Zone Tenpin Bowling Tournament title.
Earlier, in the knockout round, which was decided on the cumulative pinfall of two games, fifth-seeded Anand Babu (TN) scored 384 to finish ahead of third-seeded Parthiban J (TN) (320) and seventh-seeded Shanmugananda (KAR) (324) in Match 1.
In Match 2, eighth-seeded Naresh G (TG) scored 356 to finish ahead of fourth-seeded Aditya Varma (TG) (363) and sixth-seeded Goutham Abhilash (AP) (368). The winners of Matches 1 and 2 moved on to the next round to play against second seed Mahipal Singh (TN).
In Match 3, eighth-seeded Naresh G (TG) scored 356 to win against Match 1 winner Anand Babu (TN) (303) and second seed Mahipal Singh (TN) (348), moving into the final against top seed Naveen Siddam (TG).
Naveen Siddam finished second. Mahipal Singh of Tamil Nadu finished third, with his state-mate Anand Babu taking fourth. Goutham Abhilash of Andhra Pradesh placed fifth, Aditya Varma (TG) sixth, Shanmugananda of Karnataka seventh and Parthiban (TN) eighth.
