Jason Sanjay Opens Up About Vijay’s Reaction To Sigma

It is well known that Kollywood’s ace actor Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is all set to make his directorial debut with Sigma movie. As the film is slated to hit the theatres tomorrow, the makers are busy with promotions and media interactions. It has Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles.

Along with the makers, even director Sanjay is actively promoting the movie on social media and on podcasts too. In his recent conversation with Pearle Maaney, he opened up about Sigma and gave a cheeky reply when asked about how he imagines his father Vijay would react after watching the movie. When Pearle asked Jason to imagine that Sigma has already been released and how would his father Vijay react after watching the movie. Sanjay gave a cheeky response and said, “Usually he is a very quiet person. He always takes his time.”

Well, Sanjay also explained his father’s nature stating, “He needs more time to analyse a movie. But he would be proud because it is my first film.”

In another interaction, when he was asked how would he wish audience to see him: as Chief Minister’s son, a superstar’s son or just as Sanjay? Then he said, “Family’s in-built legacy is always going to be there and will continue to prolong. There’s a political scenario taking place and the change taking place off late”.

At the same time, Jason hopes that audiences will eventually look at his work independently of his family background. He explained, “I am doing my own film in my small bubble, making my mark in the industry and delivering my vision”.

He also added, “Basically, after five minutes of watching the movie, it’ll only be like, ‘Directed by Jason Sanjay.’ Subconsciously, they’re just going to watch it as a film. Whatever the criticism I get, positive/negative, the work will speak who I am.”

Well, finally, Sanjay was asked what would be his future project after Sigma, then he said, “After the release of Sigma, I can concentrate on building my identity and using the success and exposure of Sigma to prolong my career”.

Even the trailer of Sigma which was launched a couple of days ago, upped the expectations on the movie highlighting the 500-crore drugs-and-gambling racket that leads into a high-stakes heist.

Sigma also has an ensemble cast of Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sheela Rajkumar, Magalakshmi, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda. SS Thaman scored tunes for this action thriller while Praveen KL is editing the project. This movie will hit the theatres on 2nd October, 2026!
