‘Ramayana’ team heads to San Diego Comic-Con 2026

The excitement around the film Ramayana keeps growing by the day after it was announced that the film is all set to make its big splash in a much-awaited international event, San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026 ahead of its highly anticipated trailer release on July 24. The mythological film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra is said to host one of the largest Indian showcases in the history of the reputed entertainment convention.

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash were spotted at the airport on Wednesday morning by fans who then inquired about the reason behind the sudden travel plans. It has now come to the notice that the superstar actor and his co-star have flown off to California for the film’s special event which will witness the first sneak peek of the film’s epic trailer before its official reveal.

While Kapoor and Yash take the lead, the film’s producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari are also said to be attending the convention to give the audience a closer look at the ambitious project. The panel for Ramayana has been scheduled at 3:15 PM PDT on July 23 in the Ballroom 20, which is the second largest with a capacity of almost 4,800 people. The panel discussion is expected to be one of the most talked-about events this year at the convention as it looks to draw global attention to the film.

Alapana De, Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Ravie Dubey, and Kunal Kapoor, along with the film’s star cast Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, Yash, are also said to make an appearance at the event. Prime Focus Studios in association with Monster Mind Creations has been working relentlessly to bring world-class visual effects to the country using the visual effects of the Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG. The film is scheduled to release in Diwali 2026 and has already created a storm with its Comic-Con appearance, which in turn is likely to fuel the hype further.
