Apple launches Watch Series 12, Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 in India
‘s “Surprise and Shine” event has concluded. While the iPhone duo may have captured your attention, the company announced many other new products, including the new Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4. The AirPods 5 were also unveiled.

Apple has made numerous improvements to all three devices, focusing on Apple Intelligence features and an enhanced user experience. Let’s take a look at the details.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4
For the Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, Apple is using the new S11 chip, which it claims is its most powerful chip for wearables. Apple is enhancing heart rate monitoring on the Apple Watch 12 and Watch Ultra 4; it will now measure heart rate every 5 seconds.
The Apple Watch Series 12 comes in two sizes: 42mm and 46mm. The watch has a health sensor system and provides much more frequent checking of heart rate variability (HRV).
Apple is also launching a readiness score”—a daily score from 0, to 10 that looks at activity, training load, vital signs and sleep scores to help users know if they should rest, slow down, stay ready or try their hardest. The watch also includes updates to daytime and nighttime vital sign tracking, a new step complication, and a redesigned pedometer system that Apple claims improves step counting and indoor distance measurement. The Watch Series 12 keeps up to 24 hours of battery life with use. Apple says that battery life for workouts is now up to 10 hours, a 25 percent increase. A quick 15‑minute charge gives you up to 12 hours of battery. The Watch Series 12 comes in aluminium, titanium and ceramic finishes and the aluminium models have the more durable Ceramic Shield 2. Apple also offers new bands and updated Hermès options. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 adopts the same core health platform and tailors it to users interested in endurance and adventure. It utilizes the health sensor system and S11 chip to deliver the same improvements in tracking heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), readiness levels, vital signs, and steps, while adding extended battery life and superior durability for intense workouts. Apple states that the Ultra 4 offers up to 50 hours of everyday use, up to 84 hours in low-power mode, up to 25 hours with active GPS and heart rate tracking in extended workout mode, and up to 45 hours in maximum extended workout mode. It is available in natural and black titanium, alongside refreshed colour versions of the Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band, as well as a new Hermès Ultra model.
Apple Launches AirPods 5
The regular AirPods have also been updated with the release of the AirPods 5. Apple says the AirPods 5 provide the Active Noise Cancellation in an open-ear style cutting down up to 50% more noise than the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. The company points out that the earbuds also have a Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness.
The AirPods 5 use a -port acoustic design and an updated Adaptive Audio with Adaptive EQ. This setup helps create sound and better personalized spatial audio. For people using an iPhone with iOS 27 the AirPods 5 also support Siri AI, head-gesture controls and real-time translation. These features make the experience more intuitive and useful, in use. The AirPods 5 are built to adapt to how you listen and to improve quality based on your environment.
Pricing and Availability for Apple Watch Series 12, Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5
The Apple Watch Series 12 starts at 56,900 rupees for the aluminium version. Titanium and ceramic models are priced at 99,900 and 124,900 rupees, respectively. The Watch Ultra 4 is priced at 109,900 rupees, although the version with the titanium Milanese Loop band costs 124,900 rupees.
The AirPods 5 are priced at 14,900 rupees without the wireless charging case. The version of the AirPods 5 with the wireless charging case costs 17,900 rupees. All three devices are available for pre-order starting today, and sales will begin on Friday, September 18.
