OMG! IT professional earning Rs 40 lakh told about his problem, the matter went viral and people said – how much more do we need?

There is a huge debate going on these days on social media regarding the salary of an engineer. The reason is that an IT professional earning Rs 40 lakh annually is feeling financially weak. As soon as his statement came to light, people's opinion on the internet was divided into two parts. Some people justified his problem, while many people believed that it is not right to call oneself poor even after earning so much. This issue started when a user on Platform X shared a screenshot of a private conversation he had with his old college friend. Both of them once studied together in the famous NIT of the country. During the conversation, the engineer shared his problems regarding his job and earnings. He told that there has been no significant increase in his salary in the last two years.

Why does an IT professional consider himself poor?

According to him, a major reason for this was frequent job changes. He admitted that due to frequent changes of companies, his career growth did not progress at the pace he had expected. When his friend tried to convince him that an annual income of Rs 40 lakh was a big deal in itself, the engineer started comparing himself with the people working with him. He said that there are many people working with him who are earning better than him. These also include those people who do not do as much work as me and today are earning Rs 70 lakh or more annually.

This comparison has raised questions in my mind about satisfaction. He told his friend that friend, I still feel that I am poor. We can't even buy our own house. This became the biggest topic of discussion on social media. Many people said that the problem is not about earning, but about constant comparison with others. Have to do. In today's time, young professionals, especially those working in big cities, often start comparing themselves with their friends, co-workers and the lifestyle seen on social media. In such a situation, despite having a good salary, they feel that they are left behind.

Many people also said that buying a house in metros is no longer really easy. In cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram and Hyderabad, property prices have increased so much that even high income people are worried about home loan and down payment. In such a situation, the dream of buying a house sometimes seems distant.
