Ziroh Labs launches Kompact AI for enterprise workloads on CPUs

Bengaluru: AI and deeptech startup Ziroh Labs has launched Kompact AI, a CPU-first platform aimed at enabling enterprises to run high-volume AI workloads efficiently on existing CPU infrastructure.

The platform is designed for applications involving smaller AI models, large volumes of data and transactions, and requirements related to latency, data processing and predictable deployment costs. Its potential applications include software testing, document processing, customer interactions, enterprise automation, cybersecurity and industry-specific workflows.

Ziroh Labs co-founder and CEO Hrishikesh Dewan said, “Our focus is to make AI more accessible by enabling organisations to run AI where it is needed, with greater control over cost, performance and data.”

The company is developing Kompact AI Box solutions for sectors including healthcare, education, retail and fintech. It is also working with academic institutions to establish Centres of Excellence and provide students access to AI infrastructure.

Turing Award winner Dr Whitfield Diffie backed the approach, describing CPU-based AI as “one of the most exciting things I have seen in quite a number of years.”
