IPMMI gets new managing committee with Vivek Chinoy as president

Bengaluru: The Indian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (IPMMI) has a new Managing Committee following its Annual General Meeting held on September 5, with industry veteran Vivek Chinoy taking charge as president and Ravikiran as vice president.

The new committee brings together an experienced team of industry leaders and is expected to focus on strengthening member engagement, technology adoption and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The leadership will also prioritise greater collaboration within the packaging machinery industry, skill development and efforts to enhance the global visibility of India’s packaging machinery sector.

Speaking after taking charge, IPMMI president Vivek Chinoy said the institute has an opportunity to play a stronger role in driving the growth of the industry. He said the collective experience and commitment of the new Managing Committee would be directed towards creating greater value for members and taking Indian packaging technology to a larger global platform.

The new leadership is expected to work towards creating stronger industry networks while supporting innovation, knowledge development and professional skills among stakeholders in the packaging machinery sector.

The change in leadership comes at a time when India’s packaging industry is witnessing growing demand for technology, automation and modern machinery. IPMMI said the new committee would seek to strengthen the industry’s capabilities and expand its presence in international markets.
