Suriya’s Bags Another Blockbuster With Vishwanath And Sons

When we roll back to 80 and 90s, family dramas dominated theatres. Later, with the rise of action thrillers, family stories have become less frequent in theatres. But then as the saying goes, ‘Old Is Gold’, now the same family dramas are entertaining the audience. Right from Lucky Bhaskar, Sankranthiki Vastunnam, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad, Irumudi to Vishwanath And Sons, these stories have created their strong impact on the big screens with their engaging screenplay and family bonds.

Same way, Suriya who is always considered a family hero, once again captured his comfort zone with Vishwanath And Sons. This movie has now officially joined 200 crore club within just 16 days. Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s cute love tale and Radikaa Sarathkumar’s settled performance further impressed the audience.

Venky Atluri, who is known for his amazing family dramas, added a Genz parenting element by highlighting Suriya as a single parent. But then Venky’s way of showcasing the importance of family bonds finally touched the hearts.

Although Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is still capturing the limelight, Suriya is able to keep up his momentum in this week too. But this movie’s theatrical run might end here as Yash’s Toxic will take over from 26th August.

On the whole, Vishwanath And Sons delivered an engaging family drama and made Suriya regain his momentum. Already he delivered a blockbuster with Karuppu and now Vishwanath And Sons further outperformed several of his recent films.

Next Suriya is y to deliver another action entertainer for either Dusshera or Diwali. His 47th movie is being helmed by Jithu Madhavan and has another popular hero Simbu in a pivotal role. It also has Anandraj, Nazriya, John Vijay and Naslen in the prominent roles.

According to the sources, Suriya will essay the role of a Police Officer in this movie and how can we forget the sensational Singham series. So, we need to gear up for another spectacular performance of Suriya.

If this movie also strikes the right chord, then Suriya will have three blockbusters in 2026.
