Nagababu comes up with unique idea to celebrate his brothers’s birthday

Actor and producer Konidela Naga Babu celebrated Megastar Chiranjeevi birthday in a very special way on August 22. He planted a sapling in an open area at Kokapet in Hyderabad. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council member and the Chairman of the AP GREEN Executive Committee came up with the novel idea of planting saplings on the birthday of Chiranjeevi as a way to encourage people to go green.

One of the saplings planted was a Kadamba Vruksham brought from Kadiyam nurseries. Speaking about the Kadambavasini tree, Nagababu said that it had beautiful foliage with cooling effect and rounded flower clusters. He further added that a tree of this category which is about 1.5 to 2 years old can offer ample shade and cut down the temperature around it.

“I feel planting a tree is a very good way to celebrate birthdays. This way we can celebrate any important day in our lives. I want people to think of planting saplings on the birth dates of their near and dear ones. A planted sapling will keep growing and giving us life and shade. It will continue to serve the purpose for generations to come,” said Nagababu.

The unique way of celebrating Chiranjeevi’s birthday is part of the family initiative of planting trees. In this regard, Nagababu informed that they have already planted more than 120 trees besides the sapling planted on Chiranjeevi’s birthday. The trees were planted for some of his brothers including Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Vaishnav Tej and Niharika.

“This way we want the people who love and adore Chiranjeevi to spend their precious time in planting trees on his birthday. Kadambavasini tree that we planted today has special significance. Kadamba Vruksham takes about eight to ten years to grow into a big tree. I hope people will take good care of the sapling planted on Chiranjeevi’s birthday. I also wish Chiranjeevi a very happy birthday and hope that his legacy will keep growing and showering us with good things in life every day,” he added.
