‘Little Hearts’ director Sai Marthand calls ‘Ameer Log’ trailer realistic and raw

The trailer of Ameer Log, an upcoming Telugu film set against the backdrop of Hyderabadi basti, was released yesterday. This is part of the promotion campaign for the film scheduled to release on August 21.

Little Hearts director Sai Marthand, who attended the trailer launch event, complemented the team on the film’s “realistic” and “raw” trailer. He also praised the music composed by Sai Smaran.

Ameer Log, produced by Madhavi Reddy Soma under Awwal Number Production and directed by Ramana Reddy Soma, stars MC Hari, Manoj and Sashidhar in the lead roles. Vedha Jalandhar, Ravan Nitturu, Vishwender Reddy and Saiyogi are also part of the cast. Manohar Reddy Manchuri is the co-producer while Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media has acquired the Telugu rights.

Director Ramana Reddy said the film depicted the spirit and ethos of Hyderabad. It is a mix of emotions that is sure to leave the audience happy and sad about life, he added. The movie, he hoped, would see wide acceptance like Dollar Dreams, Pelli Choopulu and Balagam. “The connect with the local ethos is very special for me as I have spent a considerable time exploring the basti for my personal interests. I request the people to support this film,” MC Hari added.

With brilliant visuals by SVK, sharp editing by Rohit Penumatsa and music by Smaran Sai, Ameer Log promises to be a grounded film.
